SEO In a Nutshell

Here is a quick checklist I use for my SEO and internet marketing practices.  As you know, SEO contains 3 elements: On page optimization, off page optimization, and on-going maintenance.  Here is my list of things to do for all 3 SEO ranking factors.

SEO Strategies to Use
———————–

On-Page Optimization:

- Use keyword in Domain name (if possible).
- Optimize Title Tag. Use top 2 keywords in Title Tag separated by | symbol.
- META Tags: Keyword tag - Use top 3 - 5 keywords. Also use keywords in description tag.
- Heading tags (h1, h2, & h3).  Main headline/title use <h1> headline. <h1> can only be used one.  <h2> can be used 2-3 times (sub-headlines) and <h3> can be used an unlimited number of times.
- Image Alt Tags. Use keyword(s) in alt tags.
- Formatting:  Bold, Italics, and Underlining keywords.
- Keyword Density & Keyword Frequency: Make sure keywords take up atleast 6% of words on page.
- Link/Anchor Text (use keywords in it).
- Make a Google SiteMap.

Off-Page Optimization:

- Submit to DMOZ.org & Yahoo Directory
- Submit to SEO friendly directories.
- Get links from other High Authority websites (*MUST BE RELEVANT*).
- Press releases: Submit at PRWeb.com
- Write and Submit Articles related to Industry/Product/Service (ezinearticles.com).
- Reciprocal linking is *OKAY* but only 30% of links can be Reciprocal. The other 70% need to be one-way. Trade links with RELEVANT sites.

On-going:

- New, Original, Quality Content. Content every month - (maybe new article each month).

To your success,

SEO I believe has to be the key to online success as adwords are now way too expensive.

But what if you do all the SEO stuff and it works but your site conversion doesn’t work for all the traffic you now have?

Site design is such a subjective thing and how do you know if, when you decide what to use and do, it works or not really?

BUT it is so important to get it right as if you do it’s worth a fortune and if you don’t it could cost you a fortune.

I am so happy that I have discovered this web marketers tool for example and I am just so excited to have finally found a tool like this I can’t begin to tell you!

It is free for a good single site owner user and you only have to pay if you use it on more than three sites.

Without a doubt it is the absolute best tool I have ever seen or used and because of the free test I got I am now using it on everything I do.

It is so insightful I am now going to redesign my sites (with confidence!) as finally I can see what needs doing because of this tool.

I can’t say more than that except that if you have a site and you care about getting it right then you really need to consider this tool http://budurl.com/musthavetool
